Dr. Hal Atkinson is a 1973 graduate of Carroll High School, where he lettered in football and was president of the senior class. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1981. In 1982 he left the Fort Wayne Denture Center and started in practice at the Diplomat Plaza office in Fort Wayne. In 1992 he opened the Lima Road Dental office. His wife, Dr. Mary Ann Meo, has a general surgery practice here in town. Dr. Atkinson has three children: Ben, Maria, and Haley. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the Indiana Dental Association, the Fort Wayne Track Club, the Fort Wayne Ski Club, the Isaac Walton League, ACRES, and the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association. He enjoys snow skiing, traveling, canoeing, running, golf, sailing, and hiking in the woods (which happens frequently during golf).
Dr. Angie King is a graduate of Harding High School. She graduated from IPFW in 1990. Angie graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1994 and was a member of Psi Omega. Angie married Ryan in October of 1995. They were high school sweethearts. Angie and Ryan are the proud parents of an entertaining cat named Peanut. Angie is an avid IU basketball fan. She also enjoys mushroom hunting, boating and playing cards.
Dr. Maria Akmal Ghori grew up in Maryland. After living in Baltimore, Boston, Louisville and El Paso, she now calls the warm and inviting town of Fort Wayne her home. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Ghori continued her education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011.
Tracy is a 1990 graduate of Churubusco High School. After high school she went to cosmetology school and worked in that field until coming to work for Dr. Atkinson and Dr. King in January, 1996. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, sightseeing, shopping, and taking care of her 3 dogs, Yoda, Gracie and Boo.
Mary graduated from Carroll High School in 1973. In 1976 she received her Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from IPFW. She has been employed as a hygienist for 38 years, the past 25 for Dr. Atkinson. Mary’s husband, Ray, is retired from the Indiana Air National Guard. Their blended family includes 3 sons, 5 daughters and 12 grandchildren. Hobbies include reading, walking, and spending time with family.
Linda is a graduate of Homestead High School. She received her degree in the Dental Assisting Program from IPFW. Before working for Lima Road Dentistry she gained experience from three other dental offices, over the last several years. Some of her hobbies include gardening, reading, crafts, and traveling. Linda is a mother of four and grandmother of four.
Cindy is a graduate of New Haven High School. She has a degree in Dental Assisting from the Bryman School in Indianapolis. She has been the Financial Coordinator for Dr. Atkinson since 1993. She and her husband Tom have been married for 35 years. They have two married daughters and two grandsons. Cindy and Tom are both members of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club. She enjoys reading, quilting, playing cards and car shows. She is a big NASCAR and COLTS fan!
Amy is a 1999 graduate of Carroll High School. She also attended Anthis Career Center and studied Dental Assisting. Amy was married in July of 2001. Her husband, Jeff, is a New Haven Police Detective. They have a son, Austin, and a daughter, Kendra. She enjoys crafts, traveling and spending time with family. Amy and her family are huge Colts fans!
Diane is a graduate of Heritage High School. She graduated in 1993 from IPFW with a degree in Dental Assisting and has worked for Dr. Atkinson since. Diane and her husband have been happily married since 1978. They have 3 adult children, Kurt (wife Faith), Kara, Katie (husband David) and 3 granddaughters, Mikaela, Addison and Brooklyn. Diane is a member of the Fort Wayne Track Club, and enjoys running marathons. Ken and Diane enjoy riding their Honda Goldwing motorcycle and would like to ride the perimeter of the United States in the next few years.
Lisa, LDH graduated from Homestead High School in 1986. She attended IPFW and became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1991. Lisa married Ted Storer that year and helped put him through Law School where he graduated in 1993. She went back to school and graduated from IPFW in 1996 as a Dental Hygienist. In 2002, Lisa went from working as a full-time hygienist to working as a full-time mom. She enjoys taking care of her two daughters and working part time as a hygienist.
Tiffany is a 2000 graduate from Concordia Lutheran High School. In 2006 she received her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from IPFW. Some of her hobbies include shopping, shopping and more shopping! She is married to Nick, an English teacher at South Side High School. They are also the parents of Olivia and Chase.
Niki is the insurance coordinator for the office. She joined our staff in March of 2000. She is a Fort Wayne native and graduated from Carroll High School in 1997. She enjoys spending time with her husband Randy (they’ve been married since July 2004) and their son Lucas (born December 2009). She also enjoys reading, camping, cooking, taking pictures and scrapbooking.
Tanya is a 2004 graduate of Churubusco High School. In 2007 she received her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from IPFW. Tanya married her husband, Josh, in July of 2005. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Miranda, born January 2013. She also enjoys time at the lake and taking her dogs Hounder and Hope on walks.
Mariah is a 2000 graduate of East Noble High School and received her dental assisting certificate from IPFW in May 2014. She lives in Harlan with her fiancé Ryan, two daughters Olivia and Chloe, and their dog Baxter.
